"Urban Chic at The Beach" If you're looking for a place that provides the ambience and menu of a great San Francisco or New York style restaurant yet be able to enjoy all that is Del Mar, Zel's is the place to go. I loved the bar area for cozy dining and sitting around the outside firepit on a wonderful Del Mar evening was heaven.

Some friends and I were on our way to a restaurant in Del Mar Plaza, but we stopped at Zel's instead because it looked so new and welcoming as we drove by. Turns out that we scored, because this place is a jewel that hasn't been discovered by the masses yet.

The open-air patio allows patrons to watch people strolling up and down Camino Del Mar, which sometimes results in neighbors taking a few minutes to say hello. Inside the restaurant, guests can enjoy the enclosed dining area or hang out at the bar.
